Hi Jess,
Nathan and I just wanted to let you know how much we appreciate everything you did for us. Pinecrest went above and beyond our expectations. It truly was the wedding that we had envisioned. Everyone at Pinecrest was wonderful to work with--along every step of the way. So much planning and thought goes into the wedding and it is an incredibly stressful time (especially for the bride!), but everything came together so smoothly with all the help of you and the Pinecrest staff. Looking back on our wedding, it amazes both of us how well we were treated by the entire staff. Maria held a beautiful ceremony--we have gotten so many compliments on the readings and how smoothly the ceremony went, and we truly owe it to her. Also, you were an amazing photographer. You made sure everyone understood where they needed to be and you got the perfect mix of posed pictures and candid shots. The reception was the best part of the event. The DJ, Rob, did a wonderful job--he kept the party going! He had told me he had tricks up his sleeve to make sure everyone had fun--and he was not lying! The food was fantastic and the reception hall was beautiful. Toni did a great job setting things up how we wanted them. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Pinecrest to anyone. It was a great value but does not sacrifice quality. Everything came together so beautifully! People have told us that it was obvious that tons of thought and planning went into our wedding (which is true), but things would not have turned out so well had it not been for all the help from you and Pinecrest. You have a top-notch business! Thank you again for the beautiful memories!

I wanted to thank you both for providing us with a perfect and magical wedding. The ceremony performed by Maria was beautiful and touching. Even my staunch Catholic family was quite surprised and impressed. The pictures you took, Jess, are amazing. I have to say, this was the part I was a little petrified about because I hadn't really seen much of your work. But the whole "pictures included" was too much of a bargain to pass up! I was so worried about it, I had many of my relatives with camera's in hand who promised to be "backups." The many, many pictures that you provided turned out better than I could have ever hoped for. Jess, I think you really captured the spirit and emotions of the day. Thank you!! The grounds were lovely and everything ran like clockwork. I really appreciated all the time you both took at the run through, the rehearsal and the many phone calls that you returned. I am sure that by the time I get to my fourth daughter's wedding, I will be a pro. But, since it was my first time being a "mother of the bride," I know that I bugged you all with my many questions. You were very patient and you both have a calming effect on nervous moms and brides! Also, please thank Nikki as well. Everyone raved about how wonderful the food tasted. We have some big and picky eaters and they couldn't have been more pleased. I think everyone was surprised that buffet food for a large crowd could be so delicious. Many of our guests were from other parts of the country and they remarked that this was one of the nicest weddings that they have ever been too. I think Pinecrest has a real "Colorado" feel to it and I am so, so happy that we choose your venue rather than a boring old ballroom at some hotel. Your staff was super accommodating as well. Please feel free to use me as a reference for anyone who might be considering your unique and special grounds for their very special day. Thank you again for a most perfect day!

Everything from the setup and preparation, to the pictures and food were more than what we expected! You and Maria were just so easy to work with and we truly appreciate all of the extra effort you both put forth! Looking back, we really did have the time of our lives and you and your staff had a HUGE part in making our dream come true! It is a wonderful thing to say that my bride had the wedding that she has always dreamed of - so thank you for providing us that satisfaction! In response to your inquiry pertaining to references, the answer is YES - we would love to give you a formal testimony summarizing what a wonderful time we had! We are very pleased with the work you did- not to mention so very pleased with everything at Pinecrest. I can't think of one thing that I would have changed. I have so many vivid memories and was glad to see that the pictures added to that- I especially love the "1st dance" to Bob Seger's Old Time Rock & Roll- lots of smiling faces. We, of course, didn't get to see the rings begin passed so found those especially touching. Thank you! AWESOME pics and fun creative ways you changed them! You all were great to work with and were wonderful! Just wanted to send you a little note to express our how much we appreciate the way you all run your business. We cannot thank you enough for making Natalie and Clint’s wedding the fantastic day that it was. You always hear the horrible stories of all the things that can go wrong. You run a very tight ship and it shows. The food was fantastic, the bartenders were wonderful, and the pictures look like they are from a Fairy Tale. The D.J. did a wonderful job and kept the crowd going at all times, and as you know we had a very big group of people. Maria was so good at getting everyone in the church to do their job and the ceremony went so smooth. We loved staying at the lodge for the two nights that was so convenient and comfortable; it worked out perfect for the rehearsal dinner. I have had so many compliments on what a beautiful wedding this was, and most of it was due to the natural beauty of Pinecrest, and the wonderful way you care for the grounds, and check on every detail. I am so glad we chose Pine crest to have Natalie and Clint’s wedding, what a perfect weekend it was.

We just wanted to tell you how happy we are with how everything turned out with our wedding. We had such a good day. I can't imagine it possibly going any better-sans the rain of course. haha. We are absolutely thrilled with the pictures. Everyone has been commenting on how beautiful the wedding was and how delicious the food was. We loved it too, and loved that there were appetizers at our table when we arrived. And someone even made us plates for dinner, which was so nice and exactly what we needed. We just wanted to thank you again for making our daughter's wedding so special. Everyone was so easy to work with including the outside vendors. All we need to say was that it was a Pinecrest wedding and they took it from there. Everyone knew how great you are to work with. We had so many compliments from people about every aspect of the wedding. People were surprised that Brenna was not having to stress out about details and just relax and enjoy her day and even the weeks leading up to the wedding. It was great to leave everything in the hands of your staff and know it would be taken care of. When Jodi returned to California her co-workers asked about the wedding and to see pictures. While viewing them online one lady even had tears in her eyes, and she does not know us. That shows the impact of your photography. Thanks so much for getting the pictures back to us so promptly! That's incredible you got them to us that fast! They look just great! I'm having fun looking through them again and again! When we get the cd can we just take them somewhere to be printed? You can use us for a referral. The day was absolutely perfect! I like how Pinecrest is a "one stop shop." You don't have to go looking a bunch of places for various vendors, it's all right there. I also appreciated how professional the staff is, we had full confidence that they knew what they were doing and were going to do it well. The staff was also very personal, they took a genuine interest in us as a couple and we could tell that they cared about our big day. All of our guests had a wonderful time! You can not beat the scenery and the venue. It was picture perfect. We also enjoyed how our families could get to know each other at the lodge. It felt like a big home rather than a disjointed hotel. Thank you for everything, it was a perfect day and will be a glowing memory of our lives coming together. Thank you so much for everything!

We got the other to DVDs yesterday. They look fantastic! That new printer was a really good investment! Well, I guess we have reached the end of our road with the Pinecrest I am so glad that we did the video. In light of how that night ended it is so nice to sit down and relive that day. It is priceless. You did a wonderful job with the pictures and video. You captured our day in a way so that we will never forget it. When I was watching the video I realized how beautiful you and all the staff made my day. I want to especially thank you for putting lights on the trees in the chapel. I really appreciated that and it meant a lot to me, so please thank Maria for that. My girlfriend is getting married out there in July, and I can't wait to come back. You have done a wonderful job of making that place a wedding wonderland. You offer so many amenities in one place that it just makes planning that much easier. Everyone told us how detail oriented our wedding was, and I think the Pinecrest had a huge part in that because you offered to take care of so many of the bigger things that we had time to plan and organize other little details. I am sad that our journey with the Pinecrest is over, but I have fond memories, and will keep them in my heart forever. Please thank Niki, and Nora and all your wonderful staff for making my fairytale come true!

Hello Jess and Maria. We would like to thank the two of you and the staff at Pinecrest for the wonderful experience we had during our wedding on November 21, 2008. Coming from out of state to have our wedding back in Colorado was a challenge for us during the planning process. With the help of you and the entire staff at Pinecrest we were able to overcome this obstacle with ease. What you have to offer at Pinecrest is completely amazing. Having the ability to have our wedding ceremony, rehearsal, and then stay right on sight for the night at the lodge made things simple. Also, thanks again for the great job on the photos, you truly captured the moment. We were both extremely pleased with the entire process from start to finish. Our family and friends had nothing but good comments about their experience as well. Thank you again Jess, Maria, Nora, Nikki, Patty and all the staff at The Historic Pinecrest for all your help with our wedding day. Where do I begin! Amanda and Cliff's wedding and reception on Friday was absolutely perfect and I can't thank you enough! We received so many compliments from our families and guests and we owe it all to you and your wonderful staff! Maria, thanks so much for working so well with their minister, Steve. You were terrific and kept all of us organized and calm! The staff at the reception were superb! The minute I walked in to the Events Center I was amazed...everything was ready and our guests were already enjoying themselves! A very special thank you to one of the ladies on your wait staff. (I wish I remembered her name!) She was so helpful to my elderly parents by bringing them coffee, dinner and cake and continued to ask them throughout the night if they needed anything. She went out of her way to make sure they were comfortable and I can't thank her enough! I can't wait to see your pictures, Jess! I know they'll be beautiful and I was so impressed by many of the shots that you were taking before and after the ceremony and reception. Jess, I know you could sense that I was a bit of a worry wart throughout the planning stages! Well, I had nothing to worry about! First off let me say, that Pinecrest far surpassed both Mike and my expectations! Not only is it the perfect location for a wedding but the staff is such a pleasure to work with. In the days building up to the ceremony and reception, everyone truly put Mike and I at ease and we were able to just sit back and relax, for the most part.The food was amazing and the wait staff was gracious and helpful. Maria was wonderful as the officiate and truly one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! And the pictures turned out beautifully! I attended a wedding at Pinecrest about 5 1/2 years ago, before I met my husband, and I always said if I ever met the one, I was going to get married at Pinecrest. I remember thinking at that particular wedding how beautiful the scenery was and how much I loved the chapel and the event center's woodsy but also sophisticated feel.
Then, I got lucky, and met the best guy ever. When he popped the question, I popped my own..."Can we get married at Pinecrest?" He agreed to go visit, so we and our moms attended an open house. We found the place just as beautiful as I remembered, and Jess and Maria Smith, the owners of the place, were just delightful to be around. I plunked down the deposit, set the date with Jess's help (my mother and I argued about it a bit), and thus began the least stressful wedding planning I could have hoped for.
The great thing is that Jess and Maria have done weddings at this location a million times, so they know what works and what doesn't, and can give great feedback about your thoughts and decisions. They are very flexible in their schedule, even meeting Craig and I at their gorgeous home to go over some last minute details we hadn't been able to nail down before. Jess does the photos, and I loved it because when our wedding day came, we were already very comfortable w/ Jess from our previous meetings, and he had a good feel our personalities, so our photos were very relaxed and "us".
The staff that Jess and Maria have at Pinecrest are equally as amazing. We got so many compliments from friends and relatives on how kind and helpful the serving staff were, and I experienced that first hand when a very thoughtful staff member took me through the buffet line and helped me w/ my plate so I didn't end up with food all over me!! Jess and Maria also have great contacts and were able to get us a great DJ who we LOVED, and I didn't have to interview him, etc., to make it happen. Because Jess knew us and what we wanted, he just picked the perfect person. The food was incredible. We got tons of compliments on that, also. There was more than enough, so none of our guests when hungry, and that was a big stress off my shoulders. I have been to weddings where they have run out of food and it's just the worst feeling for the bride to have, knowing guests are still hungry. Not at my wedding though!! Nikki and her crew made sure of it!!
I also highly recommend using whoever Jess and Maria tell you to regarding flowers, cakes, liquor, etc. It makes it so incredibly easy, and you know you're going to get great service. The people they recommend have also done weddings at Pinecrest for a very long time, and they are very familiar with it inside and out, and know how to make it look, taste, feel etc. the best that it can be.
Please feel free to add pictures of our wedding, if you want...I was so thrilled with them. You made Craig and I look great!

Oh my gosh, the pictures are so beautiful, I LOVE THEM!!! I can't believe that the wedding is already over, it is so sad, but at least I have beautiful pictures and my memories. Of course you can use us as a referral and if you make a pamphlet with our pictures in it, I would love a copy. I can't wait to see the dvd. Thank you all so much for helping make my wedding day dreams come true!

I wanted to take a moment to tell you thank you for the beautiful day you provided for my daughter Tiffany’s wedding. I knew when she chose the date 8-8-08 it would be a busy day as many brides were going to choose this day. While we searched for the perfect place we both knew we had found it when we drove up to the lodge. It was exactly what they were looking for! Jerid was very happy when he saw the location as well…the perfect place for an outside ceremony in Colorado! The “no shoes required “of course was all Jerid needed to know! The day was flawless…while a little cloudy in the morning I do appreciate you calling out the sun for the ceremony and pictures! There was absolutely no tension or stress the entire day…everything went as planned and I do not remember worrying about a single detail…once Tiffany found her veil (the only catastrophe) all went smoothly. The veil was hanging behind the door…a little bit of nerves first thing in the morning… All of the guests had a great time and I am very glad we chose to have the rehearsal dinner at the lodge. It helped to be on location the morning of the wedding. The rooms were very comfortable and all of the out of town guests were amazed at the scenery. The ceremony itself was everything I had imagined it would be for my only child. The words that Maria spoke were beautiful…again they fit what both Tiffany and Jerid were looking for and who they are. I cannot imagine a more perfect day. From the first moment we met you and Maria we were all very comfortable in knowing we had chosen the best place for the wedding and reception…it truly was the perfect day! Thank you for making this possible.

The pictures look phenomenal, as I knew they would! I am so excited to show them to my friends and family. It's nice to have such great shots of the people in our families that we don't see often. I would Like other brides who are looking for a site to know what my experiences were with Pinecrest and be happy to have you post this on your site: The minute I got engaged my mom and I started looking for places where I could get married. We looked around for a few days and we came across Pinecrest. It was perfect! The other places were ok but pinecrest took my breath away. I just hoped my fiance would feel the same way. Yes I got the pictures just fine. We are very pleased with them! Not only did you get the traditional poses, but you got lots of fun, candid and spontaneous ones. You captured the 'spirit' of the day and the joy and life. I loved the 'symbolism' of several, but a few that stand out are the one where the kids are leaving the chapel, just about to go through the door...walking through the 'doorway' into their new life, and the one where David & I are sitting there watching the kids take the first dance...the 'seasoned' bride & groom (mom & dad), watching their newlyweds passing on the torch, but also a glimpse of when we were at that age! You caught life!

We had the most wonderful experience having the wedding at Pinecrest, and would highly recommend it to anyone celebrating a special occasion. We got so many compliments that the food was outstanding! Several friends said that was the most beautiful wedding they have ever attended. And for Maria - one neat lady from Brandon's side (she is from Canada), said the ceremony and the vows touched her, that they were so special and had so much meaning, they went right to her heart...and that's a quote! And for you Jess...many people commented on the photographer and were amazed at how may pictures you took, and that you looked like you were having such a good time, that it was fun to watch you - and I agree! The entire staff was wonderful to work with. Nora made it fun and did a great job. We enjoyed Dana the wedding director. Patti was so helpful working with the finical side.
